Seishindo is a Family

The bonds you gain along your journey to your true self, can last a lifetime.

Trust

While learning karate, you must trust those you work with. Learning in general can be vulnerable. Practicing kicks and blocks with a partner required responsibility and trust.

Respect

Martial arts is an incredible way to see an example and practice respect. From bowing upon entering the dojo, to shaking your fellow students hand at the end of every class, respect is a moral highly valued at Seishindo.

Fun

Because Seishindo is based around family and learning, it is a place of fun. Chico residents have enjoyed what Seishindo has to offer for over 20 years.

Shane and I have a really special friendship... When I first went to Seishindo (I liked the name) I walked in and saw Shane teaching a kid and when the kid did something wrong Shane would point it out and really help him. In my first class I learned the basics and Wan-su. Later I was getting to know the Dojo and everybody. Karate is my most favorite sport.
